Every morning, get up.

Often you may have heard someone say they want to go sliding into their graves all used up.  Me, however, frequently the one to swim upstream, intends to be squarely planted over my final resting place, with one finger pointing in the air (thank you, Pilates planks!), pleading, “Wait! Irony – Anger – And Guns

Today a friend posted on FB, very early, when most were probably still asleep, that today would be an interesting day at work as she was all ready receiving text messages. I commented that I hoped it would not be all that interesting for her.

A bit later I posted an image “Angry Birds” all sitting in a row on chairs outside an office marked “Anger Management”. It was meant to be humorous, of course, as many friends play the game “Angry Birds”.

Giving Til It Hurts

Earlier this week I was thinking of the adage “give til it hurts”. I am generous with time, talent, and money and rarely give it a thought of how much I give.  I try to live by the words “there is always enough to share, no matter how little you have”. Remember Mark 12:44?

As it turns out, this was a week for several people I know who were considering helping other people. One blogger wrote of passing a woman on the street, pushing a cart with a “spare change” cup at the front. She had passed the woman and then went to catch up to offer her money, which the woman refused. To the writer, she had thought she was sharing what she had even though she has minimal herself.
